If you walk around with even half an eye open on the streets of our capital you would notice just how obsessed our population has became with a certain two wheeled form of transport. Sadly we ain’t talking Segways. This isn’t Santa Monica. We’ve got Boris not Schwarzenegger.

The recent national passion for cycling seems to have permeated its way into fashion lately – James Long mentioned in his interview with HERO last week how bizarre and equally inspiring it was to see men whizzing around the city in multicolour lycra cycling gear, providing him with brilliant inspiration for his SS14 show.

Now the design team at Topman have jumped on for a ‘backie, commissioning five Menswear designers; Craig Green, Astrid Andersen, Lou Dalton, Sibling and Astrid Andersen (each talent has previously received support by Topman through NEWGEN MEN or MAN/Fashion East) to take a classic Foffa bike and customise it accordingly.

The chosen few have worked with a range of colours, finishes, wheel trims and framework as diverse as the designers themselves. They’ll surely be on the wishlist of many a style conscious cyclist in no time.
