Kenzo make a New Era hat
By Trey Taylor | Fashion | 30 August 2012

To make the Kenzo hat more famous than a Yankee can, Kenzo’s creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim teamed with New Era on a sprightly designed 59 Fifty cap collection. The assembly includes a wealth of fitted lids that emulate the prints of the Kenzo women’s pre-fall and fall-winter collections. Emblazoned across the front is their signature embroidered logo, bringing the caps into the third dimension. Rihanna loves the way they lie, as the green cap has already perched atop her noggin on a recent jaunt to London.

Photographer Maciek Pozoga rendered the caps timeless in still life scenes among classic French sculptures for a look book that favours the baroque. The caps discord with the traditional and reflect their sensibilities as being able to withstand all of Vivaldi’s four seasons. The marble print caps, which mirror the women’s F/W collection, won’t be available until early September.
