Celebrating 10 years of cultural terrorism with Project Zoltar

All Hail Zoltar The Magnificent
By Thomas Davis | Art | 10 December 2013

Zoltar The Magnificent is a new book by Dan MacMillan and Kieron Livingstone, with a foreword from artists Jake and Dinos Chapman, celebrating 10 years of Project Zoltar, the multi-platform creative collective they have spearheaded.

A deliberately disruptive entity, Project Zoltar was born as an antidote to the dying art of British eccentricity. Or as Dan MacMillan himself likes to put it: “Zoltar was born a child of acid house and punk rock. A molotov cocktail of art, film and clothing. One Part social comment and One part sartorial excellence.”

To celebrate ten years of consistently confrontational and combative guerrilla activity Zoltar have created this first comprehensive collection of their complete works to date; a cardinal silkbound, gold-embossed book, echoing the design of an ancient religious text straight from an 80’s horror movie, documenting the continued scheming of the art, fashion and design house.

Cultural terrorism never looked so magnificent.
