The Return of Ivan Putrov’s Men in Motion
Art | 29 January 2014

London will be glad to see the return of former Royal Ballet principal  Ivan Putrov and his innovative ballet – Men In Motion this January. The show will return to the boards for two nights only at the London Coliseum showcasing the range, virtuosity and splendour of the male dancer.

Tracing the footsteps of the most celebrated male dancers of the past century, Vaslav Nijinsky, Rudolf Nureyev and Vladimir Vasiliev to name but a few, Men In Motion boasts a star studded cast joined by a plethora of new leading male dancers.

Highlights include Vaslav Nijinsky’s L’après-midi d’un faune set to Debussy’s haunting score, Fokine’s Le Spectre de la Rose; Roland Petit’s Proust and Russell Maliphant’s duet Two x Two. The live orchestra will undoubtedly impress even if ballet isn’t usually your thing.

The show which runs from the 30th to 31st January will also feature impressive new additions, including a creation by Arthur Pita, creator of Metamorphosis.
