HTC ONE Skatepark at Selfridges

It’s housed everything from exhibitions to fashion shows and now the Old Selfridges Hotel plays host to a fully functioning, purpose-built indoor skatepark.

Taking cues from the Big Ben Gap and Moorgate Handrail, it’s one facet of Selfridges’ Board Games concept store – where ironically you’d get thrown out for skating – that in various ways explores surf and skate through a fashion lens.

For novices there are introductory lessons and boards for hire while the venue also plays host to a long line of nighttime events for the seasoned. Skating is completely free, as it should be, by the way. If you’re passing through central London it’s worth checking out.

The HTC ONE Skatepark at Selfridges is open until late April, Monday to Friday 12:00-21:00, Saturday 10:00-21:00 and Sunday 12:00-18:00 at The Old Selfridges Hotel, 1 Orchard Street, London W1H
