This weekend sees The Bike Shed Motorcycle Club take over Tobacco Dock for BSMC III, the third instalment of a show that’s lifting the lid on London’s emerging custom bike scene.

This is a rip roaring celebration everything pedal to the metal, from cafe racers to brat-style scramblers, art and photography, all under the umbrella of custom and retro motorcycle culture. Take a deep breath because the list of what’s set to be showcased will send any bike enthusiast weak at the knees: along with the former listed, there will be treasured archival pieces from the heritage-rich Bardour International brand, shown alongside the A225 Scrambler – a bike built in partnership with Triumph Motorcycles and customisation specialists Spirit of the Seventies. Inspired by the 900cc Triumph Scrambler, the model boasts custom front forks, sawn-off ‘Enduro’ exhaust and an original Barbour waxed cotton seat.

The Barbour Touring Coat, introduced in 1953

The Barbour International Suit Introduced in 1948. From Barbour: “The jacket that has now become an International icon first started its life as part of a suit. Donated to the Barbour archive by Mr J Moody… Mr Moody’s suit comes in a rare olive colour – a shade that was changed to black in the early sixties following a request from the Vincent Motorcycle Owners Club, who then went on to adopt the black version of this suit as their uniform.”

Also to be unveiled is Bardour International’s specialist Steve McQueen inspired collection. The king of cool, right there in spirit. If you do head down we suggest taking five to clean up your shoes – no doubt you’ll be competing with a hefty slew of high polish machines.

BSMC III takes place from 10:00–18:00 on 24th and 25th May at Tobacco Dock, 50 Porters Walk, London E1W 2SF. Entry is £10
