Yesterday saw the debut of the new Z Zegna as part of a performance-show at the 86th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo in Florence.

Co-designed by Paul Surridge and Murray Scallon, the SS15 collection channeled a new vision drawing from the innovation of Z Zegna and the technical sportswear of Zegna Sport. The new strategy aligns with the rise of sportswear as an integral part of the menswear industry and the increasing popularity of the tech-tailoring fusion.

Z Zegna’s decision to premiere its new identity at Pitti Uomo reflects the growing status of the trade show, which has in its time played a key role in the development of modern menswear. And with the historic Stazione Leopolda (one of the oldest railway stations in Tuscany) hosting the event it’s clear this fusion of tradition and modernity is set to play a big role in growth of the industry in the near future.

To celebrate the launch of the new Z Zegna at Pitti Uomo, Z Zegna has created a limited edition t-shirt, now available online.
