Willy Vanderperre has teamed up with Dior Homme for a still and moving image campaign for Winter 14. The photographer worked with creative director Kris Van Assche on the project, which includes the film, ‘Notes of a day’, and a still image campaign.

This is the seventh season of such collaborative projects between the designer and photographer and the most abstract so far, the film balancing the work of artist and filmmaker Joseph Beuys and the atelier of Christian Dior via moody choreography and ambient, driving soundtrack.

“There is an insistence on a certain aspect of character with each of the models, and this was very much linked to the idea of performance,” explains Van Assche in the press release. “The idea of what makes a man is an ongoing dialogue both in the collections and in the alternative campaigns – here there are a few different aspects looked at all at once.”

The project channels the designer’s Winter 14 journey, which puts the spotlight on the individual – an idea of L’Homme Dior. Standout accents include tie-pinned collars while the dialogue with Christian Dior continues via the injection of the signature Lily of the Valley as motifs on monochrome tailoring.
