Edie Campbell gathers her clan to star in the house’s FW14 campaign

Edie Campbell’s family portrait for Lanvin

Lanvin have called upon not only Edie Campbell but her whole family to star in the house’s FW14 campaign.

It’s a clever widening of the signature Lanvin mother-daughter icon, the quirky campaign starring the key men and women in Campbell’s life. The boys? Edie’s brother Arthur, father Roddy, grandfather Jeremy, boyfriend Otis Ferry (Bryan Ferry’s son, no less) and sister Olympia’s boyfriend Mateo. And the girls: Olympia, mother Sophie and grandma Joan (who modelled in the 1950s) – and of course Edie herself.

It’s the latest creative instalment in a milestone set of months for Lanvin: Paris’ oldest fashion house is this year celebrating its 125th anniversary. Earlier this year, the brand unveiled a unique online timeline concept, revealing a different layer of its history each week. Check out the brilliantly tailored archive here.

The video element of the campaign is equally neat, Edie and her fam and even her horse dancing and riding (on Dolly, Edie’s horse) around the set. Alber Elbaz also makes his happy appearance at the end. That’s Doctor Elbaz, rather: in another big 2014 fashion moment the designer was recently awarded a doctorate by the Royal College of Arts.
