Personally, the thought of dragging a high speed, ink-filled needle spitting and bleeding through our raw flesh doesn’t fill us with delight.

But our shoes getting tats instead? YES! Why not?

Christian Louboutin (who else) just announced that he is launching a new service in London, Paris, NYC and LA stores called the ‘Tattoo Parlour’, where ink-sleeved cool dudes can get their tattoos replicated in embroidery onto a range of shoe styles. Our favourite is ‘The Nigel’, pretty much because it’s called ‘The Nigel’.

We knew a guy called Nigel once.

There are three embroidery techniques to choose from, and you don’t actually need to have your own tattoo, Louboutin has thoughtfully come up with some of his own in case you’re a bit of a pussy.

The studio in Paris receives an image of your tattoo, along with your chosen techniques, styles and colours and sends you a technical drawing, just to make sure it’s all exactly perfect before taking the plunge.

Man up and get one. We just might.
