Sports-tailoring precision. It’s with that in mind (and mind the emphasis) that Alexander Wang is exacting his vision for Balenciaga menswear, complete with the dual respect and futuristic push required to make waves with a new generation.

In his fourth output for the house, SS15 sees the New York designer round out a minimal, streamlined wardrobe that packs hefty punches. Cocoon silhouettes form outerwear, lengths are monkishly oversized, high cut collars double-faced, technical jackets constructed from nylon and shirting and cashmere knits cast in severe shades of black, white and charcoal.

The debate over the place of technology in the context of sartorial tradition will continue to rage. This isn’t about minimalism, but just how good simplicity can feel in the right context. Get your head around it here and step out new.
