London concept store LN-CC has reopened its East side doors to unveil a completely reworked retail concept. The new fit-out launches in line with a refreshed e-commerce platform, name checked with LN-CC’s sharp line up of both local and international brands – think everything from JW Anderson to emerging locals like Nicomede Talavera, through to Raf Simons, Saint Laurent, Lanvin and Calvin Klein Collection.

LN-CC renewed its collaboration with artist and set designer Gary Card for the store redesign, Card keeping with the original recycling creed by stripping the space back to its bare bones and casting it with a futuristic glaze of vivid white materials, from thin sheets of metal and wood to chips of glass.

Think Death Star interiors, flipped to the light side. A different retail experience that feels totally alien yet impressively intimate.

“The main inspiration for the store this time around was LNCC itself, I wanted the new design to reflect the brands identity, making it more in tune with the website and the brand ethos,” explains Card of the job. “Stripping it of the colour of the original and playing with monochrome materials seemed like the most logical starting point, the idea was to make the LNCC you remember giving it a new context.”

It’s a forward thinking step for the brand, and one that continues on from its original evolution in 2010 as a retailer with an understanding of the need for adaptation in line with globally shifting consumer needs and expectations. As for LN-CC’s continued presence in East London, here’s a reality that reflects the transient nature of retail today.

“I feel like the fact that our concept is in Dalston is very representative of the development of business and industry in general,” LN-CC founder and creative director John Skelton told us. “As you now don’t have to be in central London (or any city in the world) to deliver a concept thats at the highest level – and it will still resonate with a global audience.”

The new space welcomes shoppers by private, one-on-one appointment only, and features two new shopping rooms in addition to the space’s established in-store bar and club. Well why not? Spending your hard earned cash feels way better with a glass in hand. Pay a visit and fill right up.
